Kellogg Cereal Recall
– 4 Cereals To Avoid

The Kellogg cereal recall involves 4 popular cereals that can cause serious health problems. Maybe Froot Loops are now Froot "Oops"?

The Kellogg’ cereal recall involves 28 million boxes of

• Apple Jacks

• Corn Pops

• Froot Loops

• Honey Smacks

The cereal has a “waxy” smell and flavor that comes from the package liners. About 20 people complained about the smell, and five reported nausea and vomiting. The company said the potential for serious health problems associated with their cereal is minimal. The company is trying to identify the substance on the liner that's causing the issue.

Once in a while, I feel vindicated in my quest to feed my family a healthy diet. I wrote about Froot Loops when they were included in the latest version of the Healthy Choices Program. We don't have those recalled cereals in our house because of the huge amounts of sugar in each serving.

What are some better choices?
