Healthy Foods with High Fructose Corn Syrup and Mercury? Yummy!
Here's a list of popular healthy foods with high fructose corn syrup.
1. Yoplait yogurt (now fortified with mercury?) See list below.
2. Many Kellogg’s cereal including Special K, Smart Start Healthy Heart, and All Bran (which some people may think is a cousin of the rice cake).
3. Heinz Ketchup and Hunts Ketchup. After all, part of it is a vegetable.
4. Many snack cookies and crackers in 100 calorie packs. Because portion control can still be bad for you. Stick to other snacks on my snack list.
5. Fruit flavored popsicles and Skinny Cow ice cream treats. Has anyone given the bad news to the cow yet?
Or is this just a plot by my local grocery store manager to force me into making my own popsicles?
And now foods that have high fructose corn syrup might even contain mercury!
How do I explain this to my family? I don’t want my kids to set off the metal detector at the airport every time we travel. Or better yet, thinking that growing up to be human thermometer is a viable career choice.
