Healthy Diet During Pregnancy

by tayyaba saeed
(dubai)

Question: What are the precautions of pregnancy?

Answer:
For a healthy diet during pregnancy follow these steps:

1. Your extra calories should come from nutritious food. Remember that your baby eats what you do, so eliminate junk food and processed food from your diet. Try lean meats, fresh fruit and vegetables, and whole grain breads.

2. Skip sushi, raw oysters, unpasteurized cheese, raw meat or raw eggs. Don't eat high mercury fish such as shark, swordfish, king mackerel, or tilefish.

3. Start taking a prenatal vitamin-mineral supplement. Folate and calcium are important to your baby's development during pregnancy.

4. Do not drink any alcohol and limit caffeine. Eliminate caffeine if possible, and stay hydrated with plenty of water and milk.

5. Gain weight gradually. Check with your doctor for the right amount of weight gain for your body type.

6. Eat small meals every four hours to help regulate your blood sugar.
