Healthy Breakfast Foods

Are healthy breakfast foods really that important?

healthy breakfast foods, Photo courtesy PhotoXpress.com The simple answer is yes, if you want to maintain a healthy weight. Learn more about the benefits of breakfast here.

But what are the best healthy breakfast items?

Admittedly, I love breakfast cereal. Open box, pour in bowl, add milk and eat. That’s my idea of time well spent in the kitchen. I buy several boxes of healthy cereal choices when they are on sale at the supermarket. We often have up to five boxes of different types of cereal open at a time, for the mix and match approach. Everyone finds something they like.

But even I can’t eat cold cereal every day. OK, maybe I could. But since having my family, I have learned about many other healthy breakfast choices, including portable breakfasts that can be made quickly to eat on the road.
