STAR® Flavors of the Mediterranean Recipe Contest

Enter the STAR® Flavors of the Mediterranean Recipe Contest
Create and submit an original Mediterranean style/themed recipe in one of three categories:
(1) Appetizer/Salad
(2) Main Dish
(3) Side Dish
Each recipe must include two (2) STAR® products,
one of which must be STAR® Olive Oil (any variety),
and one other STAR product (Vinegar, Spanish Olives, Capers, etc.)
and at least ONE Mediterranean ingredient from the following list: eggplant, green beans, chickpeas or garbanzo beans, white beans, red peppers, tomatoes (fresh or canned), zucchini, fennel, artichokes (fresh, jarred or frozen), pomegranate, arugula, dates (fresh or dried), apricots (fresh or dried), lemons, radicchio, any seafood (fresh, frozen,or canned), lamb, chicken, couscous, lentils, tahini (sesame paste), pistachios, almonds, pine nuts, yogurt (Greek or regular), feta cheese, mozzarella, honey or mint.
Contest starts September 20, 2009 and ends December 20, 2009. All entries must be postmarked by December 21, 2009 and received by January 4, 2010.
One Grand Prize Winner and their guest will enjoy the culinary magic of Catalonia, Spain with cooking classes and visits to wineries, food markets, and historic sites, as well as a private tour of Star’s olive oil facilities near Barcelona. Plus $600 spending allowance.
Three first prize and three second prize winners will receive Sur LA Table gift cards, valued at $1000 and $500 respectively.
